Capitol reef

Capitol Reef National Park may not be exactly what you think, based on the name (ironically, it doesn’t have any reefs). The park is actually named after its dome-shaped rock formations resembling the capitol building of the US, and its never-ending cliffs that created a barrier for early travelers. These pictures don’t do justice in showing off the majestic cliffs that are made of Navajo sandstone, but they still offer a glimpse of the beautiful variations of colors in the cliffs.
